Sunday Night Open Thread

I have been doing some yard work inside and outside our garden from our front yard earlier this evening to pull up any clover and fake grass especially the ones under the raspberry and strawberry plants.

So now I’m all caught up on my gardening job for right now, even one person saw what I was doing and said ‘I like your garden’ while they were walking on the sidewalk. That was very nice of them when they said that. 🙂

I have also been working on my next comic project that includes Christmas, and so far I got the first row finished and need to work on two more rows but I’ll get back into my project the next time I do that. Open thread.

Family Van Bath Time

I’ve been helping out my father washing and rinsing our family van this evening after our roof has been fixed earlier this afternoon. We used rags and soapy water to wash the van and also its tires, then my father used the garden hose to rinse it off afterwards so that he can dry it off by taking it out on the road for a while. So now we have a clean van and it’ll be ready to be applied with a fresh coat of Carnauba wax either tomorrow or the next day after depending on how good the weather is.

And now for no reason at all here’s a picture of another beautifully colorful sunset that was taken a few days ago:

Saturday Evening Open Thread with some TF2 shenanigans

Today was a really nice day this evening. I’ve been brushing and vacuuming the carpets inside our family van earlier this afternoon while my father was out back with the weed wacker after I got done pulling up some weeds and picking up some fallen leaves back there. So now we got the carpets in our van and the van mats all cleaned up for the day. Then we enjoyed some roasted chicken with a side of green beans and salad as a celebration for getting our yard work and van work done for the day. 🙂

After I got done eating dinner with my family I went to go visit one of my Steam friends who was on a TF2 community server for a little while, and then I go to a ctf_doublecross server just to go have fun neutralizing enemies and guarding the team intelligence in the progress:

Yeah, I’ve had a great time annihilating intelligence-carrying enemies on Capture The Flag. 🙂

Sunday House Cleaning Open Thread

My family and I were doing some extreme house cleaning this evening because we wanted our house to be really tidy so that the inside of our house doesn’t look too messy when we get back from our road trip. I’ve been cleaning up the kitchen floor, plus I brushed the carpets in the upstairs hallway and my bedroom.

I think I’ll focus on brushing the carpets in our living room tomorrow so that Papa Smurf can hit them with the vacuum. So right now I still got laundry that needed to be caught up once I’ve done all my fun stuff. Oh, and speaking of laundry, I should consider washing my bedding tomorrow because I don’t want dirty smelly bedding before I leave on our road trip with my family.

All The Leaves Are Down

Papa Smurf and I were out back raking up some fallen leaves this evening and make them into a pile next to the compost pile:

It only took less than a half-hour to get the backyard job done. We didn’t get all the leaves but we were able to get a lot of them. So tomorrow I was thinking about is go out back and rip up more weed and fake grass if I could track them down hard enough.

Last Open Thread of the Month

I have managed to complete my nature-related collection earlier this afternoon after pulling up some unwanted weeds and fake grass out back especially the ones from yesterday that my father mowed down some tall grass with the weed wacker. It was a collection of seeding dandelion puffballs that I carefully stored them all in my small rectangular wooden box without knocking the parachute seeds loose, and so far I counted a total of 24 puffballs. Here’s a picture of what I’m talking about:

So now I’ve got a good batch of white fuzzy puffy bubbles in a box. 😛 Anyways, my family and I enjoyed some delicious hot dogs that my mother cooked up for dinner since we had hamburgers for yesterday’s dinner. My compliments to the chef that hot dogs and hamburgers are both exquisitively delicious as long as they’re homemade. 🙂

After I got done eating dinner I went down in the garage to help my father mount two fittings from under the Mustang while I move to the passenger’s side of it and turn the tubes to the right several times in order to complete the process. Either way, we got all that car work done and out of the way for the night.

Open Thread! Have at it, ppl!

Thursday Evening Open Thread

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was too busy making my comic project and other things. Either way, this evening turned out to be decent today. I’ve been doing some bathroom floor cleaning upstairs and downstairs lately because it’s a dirty job and it needs to be done, and I have also done the bathroom sinks too. So now I’m going to have my Dad bleach the inside of both upstairs and downstairs bathroom toilets because they’re starting to get dirty and smelly, and after I got all my bathroom work done my family and I chowed down on some burgers and french fries that we ordered from a fast food restaurant for dinner. That was some good finger-licking fast food. 🙂

Oh, while I was watching TV earlier this afternoon I whipped out my camera and snap’d a cute photo of Morty hiding under the blanket on the couch like he always does:

Sunday Evening Open Thread

I’ve been helping out Papa Smurf wax our family van last few days ago, and so far we waxed and buffed off most of the van. 🙂 We’ll plan on continuing our wax job tomorrow because Papa needs to make his back less painful.

Oh, last night we had a short power outage while I was in the garage with Papa. So Papa and I walked outside and went down the sidewalk to see what’s going on, and sure enough it was a power line transformer that blew up over at Memory Lane. It’s a good thing there was a backup transformer because if that fails too then we won’t have power for a long time. But yeah, that was really freaky when that happened.

Workin’ in the Garage (again)

I’ve been helping out my Dad in the garage lately. We were rearranging stuff around to make new piles of stuff to maximize free space for our lawn mower that was last used back at our old house nearly twelve years ago, then after Dad used bug spray to kill ants we moved our blue and purple containers next to our old rocking chair.

Either way, I’m glad that’s out of the way. It sure was nice to help out another person to get the job done, especially if another person is my Dad. 🙂
