Current Gaming Mood: Amida For Der Game Boi

Yesterday I was checking out Amida, a Japanese Game Boy puzzle game where you must solve intricate mazes by connecting lines between pillars strategically. Here’s what the gameplay looks like:

Anyways, I’ve successfully completed the first level without touching an evil skull because doing so will lose a life.

That was a fun puzzle game, and I’ll come back to do level 2 someday whenever I feel like playing it. πŸ™‚

Some Wednesday Night Sprite Sheetifications

I decided to come back to making more sprite sheets and submitting them over to the Spriters Resource website this evening. Here’s a SGB frame that I ripped the other day:

This is from a Japanese game called Nintama Rantarou GB: Eawase Challenge Puzzle. And yes, I did try out that puzzle game and it was really fun but hard to master. πŸ˜‰

Now I’m at the point where I’m inching closer to 1,900 sprite sheets of the Game Boy type. Goodnight ladies and gentlemen!

Have Some Super Game Boy Frames

I’ve been ripping even more sprite sheets over to the Spriters Resource website, and here’s a sheet that got confirmed the other day along with the other three Game Boy sheets:

These are the Super Game Boy Frames from the Japanese GB puzzle game called Rock’n! Monster!!

I also got four more of my sprite sheets approved yesterday, and I just submitted four more of them tonight. Now I’m at the point where I should cross my fingers and hope that none of my sprite sheets get rejected. Stay tuned!

Have Another Sprite Sheet Of The Game Boy Type

I came back to ripping more sprite sheets since it’s been awhile. Here’s a Hello Kitty-related GB sprite sheet that got approved last night:

Either way, I have submitted a few more GB sprite sheets to the Spriters Resource while I cross my fingers and hope that my sheets will become approved tomorrow. Ciao for now!

Monday Night Sprite Sheet Shenanigans

I was bored so I set out on a quest to submit more sprite sheets of the Game Boy variety to the Spriters Resource. Here’s one that got approved the other day:

My sprite sheet of the startup screen and title screen elements used in the Japanese GBC game, Boku no Camp Jou.

I’d say this is an OK game, but it’s definitely not my cup of tea to sip on. Anyway, I’mma head off to do whatever else before I drop off for tonight.

Pocket Billiards Fun Time

I decided to check out a Japanese Game Boy Color sports game called ‘Pocket Billiards: Funk The 9 Ball’:

Here’s a screenshot of the actual gameplay:

You’re playing a game of pool against various computer players, and the objective is to sink the 9 ball last and get the most balls in order to win the game.

What I like about this game, is there’s an instant replay feature after the 9 ball is sunk down.

This is a lot of fun. I’m so adding this to my private collection. πŸ˜€

My Simply Fabulous Japanese Vacation with the Combine

Been toying around on some SFM lately since it’s been awhile, and here’s what I’ve been doing for my next project:

This is a picture of me enjoying my vacation in Japan with two friendly Combine soldiers who are happy to visit me while my own version of Batman shows up and starts spying on me because he’s Batman. πŸ˜›

In tonight’s post: SFM Project Roundup

I’ve been making yet another SFM project lately since I’ve got nothing else to report on. Here are a couple of things that I’ve been working on:

This project is called “The Combine Family in Japan”, where the Combine soldiers go on a trip to Japan. It would’ve been even funnier if I could just Photoshop a picture of Japan in real life by placing some different poses of Combine soldiers doing certain things on to the picture. I’ll be planning on doing some more SFM projects whenever I feel like doing so. πŸ˜›

EDIT: I updated this SFM project of mine because it was unfinished due to the Combine characters acting too stiff and no birds were flying in the background.
