Swap ’em up and Drop ’em down

Today was a nice sunny day. Earlier this afternoon I was playing a Roku game on the TV known as Color Swap ‘n Drop. It’s a Tetris-based game where the objective is to line up 3 or more colored squares either in a vertically, horizontally and diagonally pattern while swapping and dropping random multicolored blocks. And the game will end when the stacks of blocks reach all way to the top. I’ve been sitting on the couch in the living room playing that game for about two and a half hours, and I successfully managed to get a new high score of 3200 points. I felt so amazed when I got a huge score like that. 😀

Oh, and what I like about the game is that it has the Top 5 high score leader board, which I find that quite interesting:

I gotta admit, this is one of my best Roku games of all time. 🙂

Wednesday Late Night Open Thread

There’s nothing new to report tonight other than having a fairly decent day. We had some delicious taco stuff for dinner earlier this evening along with the ‘watermelon’ cake for dessert. Here’s what the cake looks like:

It has red frosting on the top, green frosting along the edges, and it’s sprinkled with chocolate chips to make the cake look like a watermelon. 😛

Once again, the Slackers have managed to live another day. Open thread!

Space Adventure Shenanigans in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Last night I had some fun goofing around in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with my friends Tomala and Yutram along with Yutram’s roommate.

Tomala did a YouTube live stream of it but unfortunately the stream didn’t last very long because it kept glitching out for no apparent reason, but at least we managed up ourselves a bit and made really good progress in the game. 🙂

More Fun in the Kitchen

San_San taught me how to make apple pie and lemonade in the kitchen this rainy evening. I was using the peeler to peel the skins off the apples and pears so that I can use the food processor to easily slice them up, and I placed all the sliced apples and pears in a clear large bowl and then add a few ingredients such as nutmeg, cinnamon and a dash of salt.

Next thing I have to do is use a wooden spatula to mix up the ingredients until they’re fully covered in nutmeg and cinnamon, and then we put all the apples and pears in the pie covered the top of it with crispy crust especially around the edges. After the pie was baking in the oven for about 40 minutes we moved on to making lemonade, and while San is squeezing lemons to add lemon juice in a medium-sized glass measuring cup I added some sugar in the water from a small glass measuring cup was warmed up in the microwave for 2 minutes and slowly stirred it with a metal whisk until the sugar water is completely clear.

Then once that’s done we used another medium-sized glass measuring cup to fill up about a half a cup of water because there’s no measurements at the very bottom so we’re gonna have to eyeball it to make sure it was the right amount so that I can pour it all into the lemon juice and then place it in the refrigerator for a sweet, cold lemonade taste.

It’s always fun to be a chef around the house. 🙂
