Playing around some Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed

I had a great blast playing Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed with my controller the other night. It’s a multiplayer Mario Kart-esque racing game where you can grab power-ups and weapons such as ice, fireworks, drones, and blowfish. This game has guest characters like Team Fortress, Football Manager, Alex Kidd, etc.

I managed to win a couple events at the World Tour in first place, and I also got a few achievements which are the ones for going All-Star, finishing half a second of an opponent in a Race, hitting 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with a Swarm attack, and hitting an opponent with a weapon while looking backwards. My new Steam controller should be here soon so that I can play games with it instead of my old one. πŸ˜€

Fun with Chip’s Challenge

I was playing the DOS version of Chip’s Challenge tonight. It’s a puzzle game where you play as a computer nerd named Chip McCallahan, and you go around collecting computer chips and/or overcoming obstacles and avoiding bugs, monsters, fire, water, etc.

I like how the monsters look different compared to the old Windows version.

What I like about this are the tools that help me go through the fire, swim in the water, and skate on the ice. This game is super fun to play. πŸ˜€ If you want to download it from My Abandonware, then go ahead and click here.

JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!

After I played some Jazz Jackrabbit and Carmageddon: Max Damage yesterday, I watched this short video from the Late Show that includes President Heir Fuhrer’s ‘Jobs’ tweet and their news segment called Real News Tonight:

I laughed my ass off at the one part where the news reporters, the weatherman and the sports announcer are saying Job and Jobs a lot, and the Golf Golf Cleavage Golf part made me lol too. πŸ˜›

Time to double the Poker Night Fever

Last night I played both Poker Night and Poker Night 2. I managed to obtain a Team Fortress 2 item; a special knife for the Heavy after winning Brock Samson’s orb. I also got some various achievements from both games. Here are some screenshots I took while playing around with them:

Better luck next time, Heavy Weapons Guy.
Victory is mine! πŸ˜€
Adios, Claptrap!
Oh no, now Brock is going apeshit after I won the tournament.

What I like about them are various poker table styles, and the decks like the Team Fortress 2 deck and the Venture Bros. deck. Cool! πŸ˜€ I’ll think about playing some more of those so that I can get more items from TF2 and Borderlands 2.

Robot-Wrecking Adventures with the Blue Bomber

I pulled out my controller and played some Mega Man Legacy Collection for about an hour. This collection has six Mega Man games to choose from. In each game, the objective is to defeat all the bosses and get their weapons before taking on the villainous evil scientist known as Dr. Wily while overcoming obstacles and robot enemies that are trying to kick his ass. I have managed to defeat the first boss, Fire Man, in the first Mega Man game. I survived the battle against him with one health left. Damn, that was a close call. I even got bonus and clear points after defeating the first boss:

Yeah, I had fun with the Blue Bomber but damn that was intense as hell. After I played some of that, I found this short clip made by Dorkly:

I thought that was funny because of the toilets disappearing and reappearing in different areas, like the one on the ceiling. πŸ˜›

Counter-Strike meets Left 4 Dead

Last night I played a bit of Codename CURE, another first-person shooting game that I haven’t touched. It’s about a support team where you can play with up to five players as they go out on different objective and survival-based missions while fighting off dozens of infected zombies. Here’s what the game looks like:

This is fun to play but the missions are sometimes hard to complete with bots. What I mostly like about this game are the bot names based on some robot characters like R2-D2, C-3PO, GIR and Johnny 5. I added some more bot names on the list like Jailbot, Super Mecha Death Christ and Central Scrutinizer. πŸ˜›

Let’s talk about Metro 2033

Last night I played a game that I have never touched, and that is Metro 2033. It’s a first-person shooter survival horror video game where you play as Artyom, a guy who must defeat an evil mutant race known as the Dark Ones, and you are fighting off a bunch of mutants, demons and enemy humans with guns. Man, I hate those gun-toting bastards with a passion. Anyway, here are a few screenshots of what the game looks like:

Good. Now I can make some demon stew for dinner. πŸ˜›
These pigs are enjoying their dinner, while one of them is rolling around in mud. Nice. πŸ™‚

What I like about this are the traditional guns like revolvers, automatic weapons and shotguns. I also like this one cutscene that has pictures of things like the clock tower, the city, the boats out on the water, etc. It’s because it’s the coolest cutscene I have ever seen, and the reason why I like the pictures in it because they look quite nice. πŸ™‚ So yeah, I had fun playing it but God that was brutal.

Having fun with Carmageddon: Max Damage

I decided to tear into some Carmageddon: Max Damage, and so far it didn’t have any problems at all which is good. I was going around killing peds by driving over them, wrecking my opponents, hunting down upgrade tokens, etc.Β  I took some screenshots that are extremely epic:

I believe I can fly…
FUCK DA POLICE!!! πŸ˜›
Really nice lighthouse. πŸ˜€

I have managed to steal a bunch of cars from random opponents and unlocked about 11 chapters in Career Mode. I also got a bunch of achievements like the one for wrecking my first opponent, the other for buying and equipping 12 parts in the Parts Shop for one car, etc. πŸ™‚ This game is bloody awesome just like the other Carmageddon games. I’ll think about playing more of this someday.
