Christmas Eve Open Thread

Happy Holidays, ladies and gentlemen! I’ve done my Christmas Eve nightmare shift, and now’s my time to enjoy my three-day weekend. Nothing super special; but I’ve been working on a few of my own sprite sheets of certain things from the Game Boy version of Caesars Palace, and I’ve got them all ready to be uploaded in The Spriters Resource. Here’s one of the sprites sheets that I made:

My own sprite sheet of the Video Poker game from the Game Boy version of Caesars Palace.

Anyways, I hope everybody’s having a holly jolly holiday! 🙂

Dancing in the Sprite Sheets

I’ve been working a sprite sheet of playing cards from the Game Boy version of Caesars Palace last night, and I thought I’d show you people what I’m talking about:

The reason why is because nobody has published that sprite sheet in the Spriters Resource website, so I decided to do it myself. And now I play the waiting game while I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. 🙂

I nailed the best ending in Caesars Palace

I’ve been playing around some more Caesars Palace on the VisualBoyAdvance just for the heck of it and I managed to cash out three quarters of a million dollars! I won huge amounts of “money” in Video Poker, Roulette, Blackjack and the Money Wheel:

After “cashing out” $750,000 I got an awesome hot rod that can send my way back to my hamster headquarters. 🙂

What I like about this best ending is the hot rod jingle sound because I find that quite catchy, and I also like the sign that lets me know that I’m leaving Vegas after beating the game:

I just wish the car and the money were real! 😍

Some fun with Caesars Palace for the Game Boy

I decided to try out a new (old) game on my VisualBoyAdvance emulator called Caesars Palace for the original Game Boy. You start off with some “cash” as you play games in the casino such as Slots, Video Poker and Money Wheel:

It’s fun to play but sometimes hard to win. I like playing that is because I remember playing the old Windows version of the game way back in the Windows XP era. Jackpot!

I Got The Monopoly Fever

Been playing an old-school board game Monopoly (not for the PC) with my mother San_San earlier this afternoon since it’s been a long time for the both of us. San_San chose Dog as her game piece because she gets the Dog just about every game on Monopoly, and I went for the Shoe as my game piece. We have been collecting various property assets in hopes of getting a Monopoly, buying houses and hotels, and paying rent money to each other for about an hour. But in the end, I am the winning champion of Monopoly because San_San was on St. James Place and she rolled 7 on the dice and then landed on my red-colored property Indiana Avenue for the third time which she owed me $1,050 for rent with a hotel on the property but she declared bankruptcy because she didn’t have enough money to pay me after she sold her houses and mortgaged all of her properties.

Then I get to put the Monopoly game away as part of my great victory. It sure was fun playing that game. 🙂 Maybe next time we play Monopoly we should con my sister Tomala to join us.

Oh, and speaking of, here’s a picture of a ‘Player Bankrupt’ cutscene from Monopoly for the Game Boy Color but I replaced the Monopoly guy’s pants with a pink skirt and the Monopoly guy’s face with a female face with pink hair and ponytail to make it look like San_San’s face:

Credit goes to Nintendo and Parker Brothers for the ‘Player Bankrupt’ cutscene picture.

Yep, it sure was fun being a good thousandaire in this game. 🙂
