Here’s something for the holiday
Windows 10 Virus Edition
I ran into some strange problems after updating my computer the other day. It was taking a long time to get to the lock screen, and when I try to type in my password for my account it comes up with an error saying it was the wrong password because it was a taking its time storing my password. So I must wait a little longer before trying logging in again. Then as soon I logged into my account I got a black screen and saw an error message saying ‘C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable.’, so I checked my SSD for data corruption and it appears that it’s in good condition.
I was unable to get access to everything, and every time I try open any program an error message pops up saying ‘An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist.’ So I tried rolling back to the previous version, but unfortunately that was a no-go. Luckily I found a perfect solution to get access is by pressing Ctrl+R to open up a Run program and type in ‘cmd.exe’ to open Command Prompt, and I used it to launch the Windows 10 Update Installer.
So now everything is up-to-date, and none of my stuff got corrupted from the update failure. π
Monday Late Night Open Thread
I’ll be away temporarily because Papa Smurf is going to be working on my computer in the garage for latest Windows 10 updates, overclocking and Intel stress testing. So I shall return either later this evening or tomorrow when it’s all up-to-date.
Open thread, people!
The Great Underground Treasure Hunt
Yesterday I decided to get out my Explorer Kit to go underground treasure hunting in Pokemon Diamond, and so far I managed to find a huge mound of colorful spheres, some fossils, and other kinds of treasure while disarming some traps along the way. I also spent some spheres to a Hiker who’s giving out Secret Room Goods and got myself a giant Snorlax doll and a Research Shelf. Sweet! π
And what I like about the Underground is the treasured plates of some Pokemon types that boosts the power of some attack moves. Here’s a few of them that I’ve found:
Either way, it was a lot of fun trying to dig up the underground treasures. π
Time for some Lil’ Mort
Been spying on the little kitteh guy lately to see what he’s been doing today:
Wednesday Open Thread: Tiny Hat Edition
San_San showed me how to make miniature hats by using pieces of empty paper towel rolls earlier this afternoon, some colorful yarn and a few cottonballs. Here’s a picture of the miniature hats that I made:
After getting done making the mini hats, I got outside and did some work in the backyard with Dad. I was dumping the yard waste along the fence next to the creek while he rakes it up and then shoveling them in the bucket until it’s full so that I can dump it out. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of the dam filled with yard waste but we got most of it taken care of and we’ll do the rest of it hopefully tomorrow. π

Meet Maxwell’s dank sibling
I was getting bored so I got out my tablet and drew a picture of Maxwell’s new Scribblenauts sibling named Dankford:
He wears his lime green shades, he has a bong of the same color as his shades, and he likes to celebrate 420 to get stoned. π
The Outdoor Kittehs
Today was a nice sunny day from here. I stepped outside with my camera and took a nice picture of my cats doing their outdoor activities:
They’ve enjoyed their wonderful outside time together. π
Pokemon Egg Hatchery Time
Been doing some egg-hatching progress in Pokemon Diamond lately after defeating the 7th gym leader Candice and other various trainers, and I’ve managed to hatch two eggs that contain Riolu on one which was given by a guy named Riley and Hippopotas on the other which was given by the elderly Day Care couple. π
So now I just need to hatch the third egg which will take quite some time doing it, but I’m gonna take a break on that for right now until I feel like egg hatching again. π
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
We’re having a tree removed from behind our house… actually, two trees. It’s one tree that grew into two trees, both about 70 feet tall.
This picture is what’s left of our tree. There’s 45 feet left of it right now, and hopefully tomorrow they’ll have it cut down to within four feet of the ground. π There will be a big stump for now.
This was the last cut of the day. It’s about 10 feet tall, and the tree remover estimated its weight of 5,000 pounds. We counted the wooden lines to see how old our tree is, and it’s 75 years old.
And finally I’ll end the post with a picture of our cat Stewie on the Bobcat:
