Some Super Sanic Spinball Shenanigans

I apologize for the lack of posting a couple days ago. Anyway, I decided to come back to playing some Sonic Spinball on my Steam Deck, and I was on level 3 which is the Machine. The third level is actually the robotic core of the Veg-O-Fortress that contains churning pistons, electrical arc furnaces, and massive electronics systems. There’s also a giant prison for animals in this level but I don’t have a screenshot of that, but I did set all the animals free from their cells. 🙂 Then I grabbed all five Chaos Emeralds after making dozens of failed attempts, so that I can challenge the Veg-O-Machine to a boss battle. As a result, I have successfully annihilated it and completed level 3:

I think I’ll plan on doing Bonus Level #3 the next time I feel like playing this game again.

More Steam Deck Fun Time with Sonic Spinball

I got back to playing Sonic Spinball on my Steam Deck tonight. I managed to fight some robot birds in the steam arenas and annihilate all the Eggman heads inside the Roboiler:

But yeah, the second level in this game is scorching hot. Now I must cool myself off and come back to it in another time.

Evening Fun Time with Columns III

Last night I came back to playing Columns III on my Steam Deck, and I have managed to defeat two more monsters which are this skeleton (shown above) and a treasure chest monster.

After defeating them I have earned some treasure chest items such as hourglasses (used as continues) and a magic barrier. I might come back to this game again and fight against even tougher monsters.

More Steam Deck Fun with Sonic Spinball

I’ve been playing some more Sonic Spinball on my Steam Deck, and I finally obtained three blue emeralds and defeated the first boss in the game:

I even managed to master the first bonus game too:

Now that I’ve completed the first level, I’mma go take a break from this game until I feel like playing it again. 🙂

Current Steam Deck Mood: Columns Tres!

I decided to check out Columns III: Revenge of Columns under Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Classics on my Steam Deck. It’s a competitive two player puzzle game which includes a single-player mode with a series of AI opponents such as spiders, bats and mummies.

If you win two matches against an AI opponent who has filled up their well full of jewels, you get to advance to the next level and face off with even tougher AI opponents. So far I have managed to defeat the first two which are a spider and a bat. Hooray!

But yeah, this game is like Columns meets Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine. 😛

Some SEGA Game Shenanigans

I’ve been playing some Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine on SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics with my Steam controller. It’s a game is about competing against various robot characters in different stages that include a robotic chimpanzee, a tall-legged chicken wearing an armored suit, etc. Here’s a picture of the gameplay:

This game is really fun to play but the computer players are brutally intense, and what I like about it is the combo bonuses that send invisible blobs to the opposing player. Awesome! 🙂 I managed to complete the first two stages in the game so far, then I moved on to another SEGA game called Columns:

This game looks similar to an old Windows game Jewel Master because of the sound effects, but Jewel Master never existed until 1992. Anyway, here’s a pic of the gameplay in the SEGA game:

I’d thought it was quite fun too. On another note I have unlocked an achievement for gaining a high score of 5,000 points on Easy mode in Columns. 🙂

I finished Sanic Spinballz! Yay!

I played some more Sonic Spinball this evening, and I managed to finish the game by defeating Dr. Robotnik (or Eggman) on the final level. What I like about this Sonic game is the bonus stages after you complete each level:

While the game’s kinda short, it’s really fun to play. 🙂

Tetris with a twist of Sanic

I recently found a Sonic 3 mod called Sonic Tetris, a game where you can pick one of three games like the original Marathon, the one where you’ll have to clear all 40 Lines, and the first Sonic the Hedgehog with bonus Tetris levels.

I’d say this mod is 100% fun. 😀 Click here to check it out and subscribe it if you want to give this a try. All credit goes to Crash for making the mod.

Sonic and Tails’ Excellent Adventure

Instead of Scribblenauts or GMod, Tomala and I grabbed our controllers to play Sonic The Hedgehog Episode II. The gameplay looks great but the enemies are sometimes intense. The A button lets you jump or swim up (and if you keeping pressing A and you play as Tails, you will fly around especially when Sonic is grabbing him), the X button lets Sonic and Tails use teamwork, and if you hold the down button then keep pressing A, your character will rev up and take off if you let go of the down button. I also like how Sonic and Tails can do a special pinball attack to destroy a bunch of enemies. 😀

I remember playing other side-scrolling games like Jazz Jackrabbit for DOS, and a couple of Super Mario Advance games when I was a little kid. 🙂 We haven’t managed to kick Eggman’s ass yet, but at least it was fun. Now I just need to wait for the prices of that game plus some other Sonic games to go down then I’ll add them to my Steam library.
