Fun With Solitaire4us on Roku TV

I was doing some speedrunning on a Roku card game known as Solitaire4us during an internet outage the other night, and I have managed to beat the game in my new fastest time record:

I remember my previous fastest was 35 seconds from awhile back, and now it has been beaten. Finally. 😉

Technical Difficulties in a Nutshell

Last night we lost the internet while I was playing around some TF2 but we still have an internet connection according to our modem and router even though we’re not connected, completely odd. We’ve tried everything from resetting the modem and router to pinging the Google website in an MS-DOS program but it was an absolute no-go. But whatever it was, it was a big connection issue because we noticed that the internet from Medford all the way to Yakima has gone offline for whatever reason.

And now for no reason here is tonight’s GMod screenshot of Princess Anna wearing a white Bill’s Hat, grey summer shades and a Christmas wreath badge:

Thursday Late Night Open Thread: Fucking Norton!

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I’ve been spending my time playing some great Game Boy game roms on the emulator. Tonight was a quiet night. We had some roasted pork, rice and green beans for dinner. That really filled me right up. 🙂

Oh, I encountered something weird while I was on my computer this afternoon. I was running Norton LiveUpdate and it asked me to restart now after it completed the updates. So I clicked Restart Now and let it reboot, and then I got back into Windows but I suddenly lost the internet connection because Norton LiveUpdate screwed it up for no apparent reason. Even my Exterior IP on the Network Meter gadget says ‘No Connection’. Now I got internet connection after I disconnected and reconnected my network card but my External IP said ‘Error 0’. So I went to refresh it, and it comes up with the proper external IP. Then I went to run LiveUpdate again and they’ve got a new patch this time, so I applied it but then Norton closed automatically while it’s in the middle of closing other programs and it’s not on my taskbar anymore. I couldn’t even open it back up so I rebooted again, and when I got back into Windows again everything is normally behaving so far.

I’d never seen any of this happen before, but luckily my Norton didn’t get destroyed other than fucking up my internet connection.

The Technical Difficulties on the Internet continues

Sorry for no post last couple days ago because I started timing out going to any of my Slackers sites, so I have to go to ProxySite.com in order to go to my site. Unfortunately I’m unable to do certain things from here like adding tags to my new blog posts, uploading my pictures to my Media Library because it threw an internal error every time I try to do that, etc. 🙁 Fortunately I can still write about some things If I have to.

Man, the internet hates us so much…
